Today, July 30th, is World Day Against Trafficking Persons Day.
The United Nations dedicated the day to “raise awareness of the situation of victims of human trafficking and for the promotion and protection of their rights.”
As we discussed in our January post, spreading awareness that this is still real in today’s world and it happens in our own backyard is the foundation of making change.
The U.S. Department of State has published 20 Ways You Can Help Fight in Human Trafficking found here. They mention several action steps including having the National Human Trafficking Hotline number accessible which is 1 (888) 373-7888.
We here at Madison Grace Boutique want to highlight our artisan partners who help with the fight or prevention of human trafficking.
